Tasting Notes

An intense and complex nose of dark cherries, supported by sappy, foresty “wholebunch” notes and subtle, charry oak. The palate is lively and lifted, with an array of red and black forest berries continuing long into the finish, supported by sweet, velvety tannins and a rich, fleshy mid palate. A generous, multi-layered Pinot, showcasing the natural affinity this variety has with this site.


Tea-smoked duck, bastilla.


A warm and very dry growing season, culminating in a low yielding harvest with perfectly healthy fruit. Berries were small with intense, concentrated flavours and exceptional acidity.


Hand-picked from dry-grown vines, chilled overnight, then hand-sorted and fermented as 10% wholebunches, with the remainder destemmed but not crushed. Matured in 300L French oak hogsheads (40% new) for 10 months.
