A complex nose of white peach, citrus, cashew and nougat, supported by subtle smoky oak and flinty, struck match aromas. The stone fruit flavours flow through on the palate, supported by subtle, savoury, lees characters, a creamy, nutty richness, and a long, fine finish.
Baked snapper, seared scallops, wild mushroom risotto, roast poultry.
A warm and very dry growing season, culminating in a low yielding harvest with perfectly healthy fruit. Berries were small with intense, concentrated flavours and exceptional acidity.
Hand-picked from dry-grown vines, chilled overnight, and whole bunch pressed to 500L French oak puncheons for barrel fermentation, of which 37% was new and the remainder between 2-3 years old. Some lees stirring was also carried out for complexity and mouthfeel. 100% estate grown, made, and bottled in our new onsite winery.
